To Love

Love is a dance. It is a balance of give and take. It’s a collaboration of your vulnerabilities, desires and standards. The essence of who you are swirls with another to build a foundation that is uniquely yours. Together you evolve, drawing upon the stability of your love. Your foundation is your safety, because love is not always beautiful and it certainly isn’t always easy. But love is most definitely real and does not hold back. It will shake you to your core because it is undeniable. Love is alive. Love expands and sometimes, it contracts. But we are not speaking about when love leaves (and it sometimes does); we are celebrating the ways in which it stays. Love endures. Love is not blind because it sees in you what is wonderful, even in the most unceremonious of moments. Love beckons forth the deeper parts of yourself that you hide. It knows your complexities are pieces of a larger Universe that exists within you. It wants to know them all. Love knows you are worthy and you always have been. Let yourself melt into the mystery that is holding the heart of another, and in doing so, let yourself also be held.
